Zhengzhou, January 15, 2025 — Yesterday morning, a batch of high-load-bearing sapphire blue PP modules produced by Zhengzhou Yayuan Technology Co., Ltd. were officially dispatched from Zhengzhou production base to Haikou City, Hainan Province, and will be applied to local sponge city construction projects. This shipment marks a solid step for Yayuan Technology in the supply of sponge city construction materials in South China, and also provides key technical support for Hainan Province to improve urban rainwater management capacity and enhance ecological resilience.
The sapphire blue PP modules sent to Haikou are rainwater collection and regulation products developed by Yayuan Technology specially for high-load-bearing areas such as parking lots, squares and municipal roads in sponge city construction. Made of polypropylene (PP) material through one-time injection molding, the product features high structural strength, superior load-bearing performance, corrosion resistance and long service life. Its unique sapphire blue appearance is not only convenient for construction identification, but also reflects the visual logo of environmental protection products.
Compared with traditional rainwater collection systems, this modular system has more than 95% hollow space, which can efficiently store rainwater and realize multiple functions such as infiltration, stagnation, purification and reuse, in line with the six-in-one construction concept of “infiltration, stagnation, storage, purification, utilization and drainage” of sponge cities.
In recent years, Hainan Province has actively promoted sponge city construction as an important measure to improve urban quality, respond to extreme weather and protect the ecological environment. As the capital of Hainan, Haikou has continuously increased investment in sponge city construction and planned a series of rainwater management projects.
The PP modules supplied by Yayuan Technology will be used in the construction of an underground water storage system in a key area of Haikou City. After completion, the system can effectively alleviate the waterlogging pressure in the area during the rainy season, and at the same time purify and store the collected rainwater for urban greening irrigation, road washing and other purposes in the dry season, realizing the recycling of water resources.
