How It Works

1. Filtration Stage

Under the command of the automatic backwash controller, dirty water enters the filter units via the inlet manifold. As water passes through the tightly compressed grooved discs, microscopic particles and contaminants are trapped within the depth grooves, allowing clean, filtered water to exit through the outlet manifold.

2. Automatic Backwashing Stage

When the system reaches a pre-set time interval or a specific pressure differential (DP) threshold, the controller automatically triggers the backwash cycle for each unit sequentially. The 3-way backwash valves reverse the internal water flow direction, instantly decompressing the disc stack. High-speed tangential water jets spray from the internal nozzles, spinning the discs and thoroughly flushing out all trapped debris through the drain manifold. The other units continue filtering water normally during this brief cycle.
